3.   Routine Sample Requirements

OES

Plate/block (length x width x thickness) : minimum size: 15mm x 15mm x 2mm

Bar: minimum diameter 15mm.

Pipe: The minimum wall thickness T is 2mm.

Note: 1. Rods and tubes may be suitably flattened to form a plane on one side.

2. Try to provide material brand or specification value in element analysis.

ICP-OES

The sample size is 20g (precious metal minimum 2g), less than this sample size needs to be confirmed with the laboratory

Note: When analyzing elements, try to provide the material brand or specification value.

XRF

A compact flat sample with a diameter of at least 15mm and a powder sample of at least 0.1g shall be provided

EDS

Solid samples of non-aqueous or non-aqueous and volatile substances;

Non-magnetic sample powder sample subject to engineer's confirmation;

Size: Max. 4*4*3.5cm.
