As a result, CTI are recognized as the preeminent body for verification services across multiple industries including consumer products, raw materials & extractives, food & agricultural products, cosmetics & personal care, and building materials & construction engineering. As CTI’s market share grows and the CTI certificates and test reports enjoy increased recognition in the marketplace, the risk of counterfeit certificates or test reports also increases, leading CTI to increase it’s brand protection measures. The falsification of test reports and certificates poses a significant threat to the consumer, undermines the efforts of the industry in delivering safe products, and also harms the legitimate interests of CTI and their stakeholders.
For any counterfeit test reports or certificates bearing the CTI name, trademark, logo, CTI will launch a full investigation with the support of law enforcement to investigate and prosecute the responsible parties. Any individual or organization that is involved in the creation, distribution, or any other unauthorized production or handling of CTI official documentation must cease immediately or will be culpable to the full extent of the law and any litigation in which a counterfeit CTI document is involved or has caused harm/damage to any individual or company.
