New Certification Updates for December

1. UAE Authority (TDRA) will shut down the 2G network (GSM) in December 2022 and devices that support only 2G technology will not be able to be sold in UAE markets starting June 2022.

2. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) decides to extend the latest date of concurrent running of IS 1293: 2005 and IS 1293: 2019 up to October 23rd, 2022.

3. India authority TEC extended the deadline for products under MTCTE Phase III and IV to comply with the new labeling requirements from November 30th, 2021, to December 31st, 2022.

4. Brazil ANATEL issued Official letter nº 233/2021, originally only certificates of products with no modifications that expired between March 6th, 2020 and December 31st, 2021, could apply for renewal without retesting and providing internal/external photos. Now, the coverage has been extended to certificates expiring before July 31st, 2021.

5. Vietnam authority MIC= has issued Circular 09/2021/TT-BTTTT, which includes 3 new standards effective since July 1st,2022.

6. The Argentina Secretaría de Comercio Interior issued Resolution 1038/2021 to introduce several Electrical Safety changes include: adding new product types into mandatory scope and revising the surveillance period of certificates.
