Refers to the medical electrical equipment that claim to be anti-defibrillation. When patients are defibrillated, any accessible part of the equipment, patients' cables, and cable connectors, etc., which are not protected or grounded, will not release dangerous levels of charge or energy from the flashover of the defibrillation voltage. Furthermore, the medical equipment should also continue to function normally after being exposed to such voltage.
