The hazardous and non-hazardous waste generated by our operations mainly includes chemicals, test samples, organic waste, liquid waste, paper, plastic, office waste, electronic waste, etc. CTI does not generate much waste, compared with those in traditional industries. The amount of waste generated by laboratories varies from the services they specialize in. Still, we are highly concerned about the generation and disposal of the waste listed above. All laboratories are urged to manage and store the samples after use with designated staff and warehouses, and send them to qualified institutions for disposal on a regular basis.
Hazardous Chemical Waste
Due to the particularity of our services, we use hazardous chemicals in testing. To regulate the use and handling of such chemicals, we have drafted a number of regulations such as the Measures for the Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals in accordance with national laws and policies including the Regulations on the Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals. Also we organize HSE training for legal persons, general managers, chemical purchasers, and chemical users as required by laws and regulations, so that responsible staff are qualified to use and handle chemicals in an appropriate, secure and standardized manner.
Medical waste is under our special control as well. In strict compliance with the Medical Waste Management Regulations, such waste is delivered to specialized medical waste treatment companies for uniform disposal, with the disposal process faithfully recorded to ensure that all waste is properly handled.
